RetailEASE

Systems like RetailEASE™ are gradually replacing the use of stopwatch work measurement techniques. All LSI consultants are fully trained in RetailEASE™, which coupled with a structured development methodology, rapidly delivers more accurate and easily maintained Labour Standards less expensively than stopwatch based study methods.

The benefits of the combined LSI methodology and RetailEASE™ software are:-

  • Accuracy - Labour Standards developed in RetailEASE™ are more accurate and realistic than traditional stopwatch time studies due to the many thousands of practice based observations made to develop the building blocks of the standards.
  • Rapid Development - Unlike stopwatch time studies, which can require hundreds of samples to provide the required levels of confidence in accuracy, building standards in RetailEASE requires only 1 or 2 observations. This allows for rapid development and deployment of standards, lowering costs and shortening the Return on Investment.
  • What-If Capabilities - Once standards are built in RetailEASE™, changes in processes can be easily updated in the system. This "what if" modelling capability can provide accurate information on labour improvements prior to implementing new processes or equipment.
  • Usability - Labour Standards developed in RetailEASE™ reside in a relational database, which allows them to be easily managed and interfaced into other systems.
  • Maintenance - As processes change, RetailEASE™ provides easy maintenance of the associated standards. Labour standards developed in the system contain all of the method steps, and related times for activities. The standards for these detail method steps can be easily modified without having to re-measure the standard for the entire process.

Clients have the option of engaging LSI to maintain the developed standards or purchasing RetailEASE to maintain standards in-house. If a client chooses to license RetailEASE™, LSI will conduct classroom and hands-on training to ensure the client has the skills and know-how to successfully support their labour management infrastructure.
